Keynote: Patrycia Rzechowka
Patrycia was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012 after losing sight in her left eye. Since then, Patrycia has figured out her life’s purpose: eliminating the disease. Today she is one of Edmonton’s most active spokespersons for the MS Society. Patrycia stays active to combat her MS by participating in walks, bike tours and fundraisers, earning her a National Philanthropy Day Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Even with all this success, Patrycia has sacrificed a lot. Through her unattainable dream to work in law enforcement and the fact that living with a chronic illness has stigma attached to it, how is it possible to live a “normal life”? This documentary linked below will show how Patrycia navigates her difficult yet amazing life, living for others, and giving back.

She'll explain the benefits of Red Fife flour, of using sourdough starter instead of yeast, of what the "sourdough" breads at the store aren't telling you, and of managing your time so you, too, can bake it at home. THIS SESSION IS FULL InBody Scan : (All day availability) Must sign up ahead of time
Body composition analysis is essential to completely understand health and weight as traditional methods of assessing health, such as BMI, can be misleading. Going beyond your weight, body composition analysis breaks down your body into four components: fat, lean body mass, minerals, and body water.

InBody body composition analyzers break down your weight and display your body composition data on an organized, easy-to-understand Result Sheet.  The results help you understand where your fat, muscle, and body levels are at and act as a guide to help you achieve your goals: whether that is shedding a few unwanted pounds or a complete body transformation.

This translates into much less soreness, increased range of motion, and a faster recovery for the burnt-out athlete.  Here is a quick video on Yamuna Ball Rolling

DOUBLE SESSION - 7 Sacred Teachings Introduction - First Nations, Metis and Inuit
The Seven Sacred Teachings, also known as the Teachings of the Seven Grandfathers, is a set of teachings on human conduct towards others.  These teachings are values based on First Nations' cultural traditions. They are what was traditionally and still is to this day needed in order for communities to survive.  Classrooms today represent a microcosm of our rich and diverse society. Alberta schools are dynamic environments that emphasize high standards, and respect and safety, yet these elements cannot be taken for granted. This guide is intended to facilitate conversation and provide strategies on how to best support all students with a continuous focus on positive character attributes that can help build classrooms where students are ready to learn and teachers are able to teach.  Here is a teacher's guide on Seven (Grandfather) Sacred Teachings:  Character Development

Crossfit Stettler
Join CJ Oprea for a modified intro to CrossFit.  This class will introduce you to some basic movements we do every day.  I will teach you how to squat, deadlift, press, and push using your own body weight and bands.  We will correct movement patterns to make these movements as efficient and safe as possible.  We will end with the same basic mobility.

Lacrosse
Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins in a tribal game played by eastern Woodlands indigenous peoples and by some Plains Indians tribes in what is now the United States of America and Canada. Yamuna Ball Rolling - Maximum 15 Sign Up
Anne will teach us how to use the Yamuna Balls to align the body, prevent breakdowns, heal existing ones, and even improve bone quality.  The pressure of rolling a ball against your muscles allows a release of tightness, lengthening of muscles, and re-aligning of joints that may have been pulled out of place, allowing circulation again. This translates into much less soreness, increased range of motion, and a faster recovery for the burnt-out athlete.  Here is a quick video on Yamuna Ball Rolling
